Dr. James R. Richter is a Board-Certified Family Medicine physician with over 35 years of experience. He attended medical school at Washington University in St. Louis and completed his Family Medicine training with the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He served in the United States Army for 11 years.
Working with children, treating anxiety & depression, and performing surgical procedures including vasectomies are his professional interests. With a special concern in caring for the terminally ill, Dr. Richter obtained his certification in Hospice and Palliative Care in 2007 and currently serves as the Medical Director for Heartland Hospice.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Medicine, the Wisconsin Academy of Family Medicine and the Wisconsin Medical Society.
Dr. Richter is a co-founder of Family Care of the Fox Cities with Dr. Lindo-Drusch. He has been married over 35 years and is the proud parent of two sons, and has three grandchildren. His personal interests include reading (especially science fiction), walking and bird watching.
